Ladies Fynch Hatton SS23

Exciting news for our Ladies department this spring/summer 23, Fynch Hatton is releasing its very first ladies collection, and we are one of only a handful of shops to stock it.

Why Fynch Hatton?

The name Fynch Hatton is taken from the famous Denys Finch Hatton, a former student at the equally famous Eton College, and upon leaving the 24 year old undertook a journey that would shape his life.

In 1911 he visited relatives in South Africa and was immediately fascinated by what the continent had to offer. In the same year his uncle leaves him a small fortune, Finch Hatton does not think twice and travels to present day Kenya to buy a farm there, without any previous knowledge.

From then on he spent most of his years in Africa, but not as a farmer – but as a big-game hunter, safari guide and bush pilot, which he is best known for today.

His love of adventure, independence and love of freedom is what inspired the German Roger Brandts to create Fynch Hatton, opting for the umbrella acacia as its logo, the typical tree of the African savannah.
