Queen Elizabeth 11

Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, lived a long and adventurous life, born on the 21st April 1926 on Bruton Street in London, her reign of 70 years and 214 days is the longest reign of any British monarch, and the second longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country.

Her early years were spent learning all the important duties a young princess should know, getting her ready for what was to come. Though excitement was always round the corner, on the 21st April 1944 on her 18th birthday she received her very first corgi, and we all know how her fondness for the breed continued.

On 4th March 1945 Elizabeth joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service, where she learnt how to drive numerous vehicles along with learning how to fix a number of mechanical issues too.

She married her teenage love, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh on the 23rd november 1947 in Broadlands, in Romsey, England at the age of 21, a dashing naval officer and a distant cousin with whom she’d fallen in love with in her early teens.

Its fair to say that Queen Elizabeth held a mighty seat in this modern world, having lift through so many historical events and personal accomplishments, she will be fondly missed and never forgotten for all she has done for our country and for people around the world.
